During trails through beech forests and the rolling mountains of Transylvania, I had a lot of time to think about saddle pads. Important to me was a pad that works especially for long rides with saddlebags.

Material:

A curly sheepskin balances pressure points and supports muscle growth. The underside, made of 5mm thick and 100% wool felt, is very breathable and transports moisture away from the horse. The wool dries very quickly in the fresh air. The soft fibers make wool particularly suitable for sensitive backs.

Characteristics:

A double-layers of wool-felt serve as additional, movable padding in the saddle position, and prevent pressure points. There are no seams in sensitive areas such as the saddle and girth positions. The extra length of the pad protects the horse’s fur from chafing spots from the additional luggage. The saddle pad can be individually adjusted to the back of a horse. Particular attention is paid to the withers and the shape of the horse’s back. The saddle pad is thinner along the middle so that it can be enclosed in the saddle. In the places where the saddlebags are, a leather fitting offers additional protection. At night, the pad also serves as a warm and soft sleeping pad.
