On trail rides there is plenty of up- and downhill riding. A packed saddle can quickly slip out of the saddle position. The britchen holds the saddle in its ideal position.

Material:

I use high-quality harness leather for the britchen. The leather has a particularly high fat content and is made for horse harnesses. Very high requirements are set on this type of leather. It is particularly insensitive. The leather surface has a self-healing property. Scratches can easily be brushed out. Over time, the leather develops a characterful patina and ages beautifully.

Characteristics:

Each britchen is individually and optimally adapted to the physiology of the horse. This is important in order to give the horse a comfortable fit. The seams are saddle-stitched by hand, using fine linen thread and last a lifetime. The buckles are either made of solid stainless steel or brass.
